What is your hiring process?

Here’s how our hiring process works:

Step 1 - Application
Our online application consists of providing some information about yourself, choosing your preferred shift, and selecting the date and time of your new hire appointment.

Step 2 - Virtual Pre-Hire Appointment
This is where you complete the hiring process. You’ll need to provide proof of your identity and employment eligibility. You don’t get paid for a New Hire Appointment— it is part of the application process.

Step 3 - Your first day!
You will receive an email with schedule details. This is also available in your pre-hire checklist. When you arrive to your first day at Amazon, you will dive deeper into the details of your work and learn important safety rules to keep you and your teammates safe.

How do I apply? Can I re-apply?

You can apply for any position online through our website at https://hiring.amazon.com/.

If you worked at Amazon in the past, you are welcome to re-apply. We will evaluate your rehire eligibility based on your employment record. Please note, all candidates who have been hired by Amazon in the past go through this check, whether they worked or withdrew before starting. After this process, we will notify you with next steps.

Availability is always changing! We encourage you to check the https://hiring.amazon.com/ website often for updates. You can also sign-up to receive job alerts on https://hiring.amazon.com/app#/jobAlert.

If you don’t see a job posting for a specific location, it means that all of the roles in that location have been filled.
Do I need to complete my application or can I come back to it later?

You must finish your application within 3 hours, otherwise, we cannot guarantee you keep your selected shift.
I applied for a job, have I been hired?

To check your application's status:
  1. Log in to your candidate account at https://hiring.amazon.com/app#/login.
  2. Click My Account and choose My Jobs from the dropdown.
  3. Find the job you are applying for.
There you can see the status of the jobs you have applied to. You will be notified by email with any updates regarding your application.

Why was my application rejected?

Amazon reviews a variety of things when determining which candidates to move forward in the hiring process. Some of the details we review include your work history, the questions you answered during the application process, and the results of your background check. We cannot give details about these factors.
