All job types (including Full-Time, Part-Time and Reduced-Time) will have training. Depending on the site, candidates may complete orientation in person where Day 1 is the first day of new hire orientation with all activities conducted onsite, or they may complete orientation virtually where Day 1 becomes their first onsite work day after completing virtual training.

All Flexible shifts will have a fixed training schedule based on the job role. Training shifts are mandatory. After completion of all training shifts, use the Amazon mobile app to select available shifts based on business need or site availability. Do I need to wear my safety shoes on my first day? What happens if they don't arrive?
Chevron Down
Yes! Please wear safety shoes starting your first day onsite. These are the shoes you ordered in the Due before your first day section of your pre-hire checklist. If you still have not received your shoes by your first day onsite, please try to wear shoes that meet your site's safety standards (which will be outlined later in your onboarding process).

You should still attend your first day, even if you do not have correct footwear. Your site will make the necessary accommodations (like providing protective metal overshoes, etc.).
I missed my first day of work. Can I re-apply?
Chevron Down
Thank you for your continued interest in Amazon! If you missed your first day of work, you’re welcome to reapply.

Before you can reapply with a new schedule, you will need to be made inactive in the system (as a formality). This process will be complete within about 24 hours after the end time of your missed start date. Then you will receive a text message and automated call to notify you that you are able to reapply with a new schedule or choose a different job and apply!

You can apply for any position online through our website at https://hiring.amazon.com. New positions are typically added between Friday and Monday. When new shifts are available, they are first come, first served. You can also sign up for job alerts by texting NEWJOB to 31432.
